Jacek Lidwin

I live in Poland in Katowice and I create usually here. I photograph street portrait, theatre, fashion, reportage. I have worked on my photographic project about Jewish cemeteries since 2007 and I had grant for this project from Silesian Voivodeship in 2008.
I had photographic exhibitions in: 2003 – “The photographs have been taken in Szopienice”; 2008 – “Unknown People”; 2009 – “Human, space, light”, theatre photos, part of the 15th International Theatre Festival A PART. I participated at Homeless Gallery in 2002 and 2004.
I cooperation with A PART Theatre and Gry i Ludzie Theatre in Katowice, and fashion designer Dominika Maniek in Chorzów.
I like to photograph unknown people on the street. They see me or not, I don’t rush and I don’t terrify their. We are single, lonely so Osho told and I don’t break it though I maybe overstep it. I like street photos of Robert Frank, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau. I have photographed of International Theatre Festival A PART for more than ten years, and other theatre performances. I was an actor of GuGalander Theatre by two weeks in 1996 and I have interested theatre since then. I like to photograph visual, expressive and experimental spectacles for outdoor and on the stage
In fashion photography I prefer natural, inartificial photographic sceneries than studio. I like work with spontaneous creative people – actors, models and amateurs. I value fashion photos of Tony Richardson, Jeanloup Sieff, Jurgen Teller, Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Sarah Moon
